After graduating from DePauw, Jordan attended Howard University Law School in Washington, D.C. He graduated from Howard in 1960, and he was admitted to the Georgia bar in 1961.

Military Service

After graduating from law school, Jordan joined the United States Army. He served in the Army for two years, and he was stationed in Germany. Jordan's military service had a profound impact on him. He learned the importance of discipline and teamwork, and he developed a strong sense of patriotism.

Jordan has received numerous awards and honors for his work in civil rights and public service. He has been awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Congressional Gold Medal, and the NAACP's Spingarn Medal. He has also been inducted into the National Black Sports & Entertainment Hall of Fame.
